We come into contact with mold-made products all the time in both production and daily life. Approximately 80% of all articles used in manufacturing and daily life are processed and fabricated via molds, earning molds the title of "the mother of industry".

Numerous components on everyday items such as plastic buckets, cups, rice cookers, telephones, computers, mobile phones and automobiles are all mold-processed products. It is fair to say that molds boast an extremely wide range of applications.

Molds are categorized into metal molds and plastic molds based on their application fields rather than their material composition. Metal molds are used for metal forming, while plastic molds serve plastic forming. There are also molds dedicated to rubber forming. Plastic molds are widely adopted in plastic forming processes, injection molding for instance.
